Chairman and Managing Consultant of Omolayole & Associates, Management Consultant; established the firm in 1984.

Dr. Omolayole received B.Sc Honours ( London ) in Physics and Mathematics from University College , Ibadan , in 1952. He was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Corpus Christis College, Oxford University in 1954, an A.M.P. from Harvard Business School in 1973, and a Director of Law, Honories Causa from the University if Ibadan in 1973.

Prior to his retirement in December 1984, Dr. Omolayole was Chairman and Managing Director of Lever Brothers Plc, a position he had held for about 10 years. Dr. Omolayole joined that Company in 1958 as Training Manager, was promoted to Deputy Personnel Manager in 1959, Personnel Director in 1964 and Vice Chairman in 1971. Early in his career, Dr. Omolayole was a visiting Professor in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations at the University of Lagos for a Semester, and Science Master at St. Gregory's College, Lagos .

Dr. Omolayole served as a Member of the Presidential advisory Committee to President Babangida, and Consultant to the ILO. He was Chairman of CAPL a former affiliate of ICI. For 13 years. He was Director of Van Leer Containers ( Nigeria ) PLC, former Chairman, of BOC Gasas Group, a Director of Nigeria – French Insurance Company and Director of Ablast Nigeria PLC. Former Adviser to the World Bank.

Dr. Omolayole was the first President of the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. (IPMN) He has served as President of Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA), Former President Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Former Chairman of National Bank of Nigeria . He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management, a Fellow of Personnel Management of Nigeria, as well a Member of the Institute of Directors of the UK .
